When it comes to flying with our Asian neighbors, Malaysia does not usually top of our list of destinations. We believe Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore. But in my recent trip to this country, different cultures, I discovered that Malaysia can satisfy every traveler's must-try --- especially when it comes to shopping and food tripping.
Shopping galore
My thoughts before even landing in Kuala Lumpur, revolves around one thing --- shoes. This is the land cheap and chic Vincci (VNC to it here) couple, and I soon discovered much more. With more than 30 centers throughout the city, it is easy to see why Malaysia is fast gaining a reputation as a shopper's paradise. Berjaya Times Square Malaysia is the largest center with more than 700 shops including Mango, Debenhams and ELIANT. Just a block away is the Sungei Wang Plaza, Greenhills type of establishment where you can find stalls bargain finds (is sweet motorcycle inspired jacket for around P500) to store popular designers such as Malaysian designer Zang Toi.Kreacijama block is a good place to check local mode, but since to wear designer clothes, it comes with a designer price. If you want really cheap rates anywhere to turn, travel to KL's Chinatown (Petaling Street), and be willing to put their elbows, and maneuver your way around. It's jam-packed way divisoria gets over the weekend.
Taste of Malaysia
Taste of Malaysia
...Another thing that can definitely rival home shopping in Malaysia is the food --- especially to him on the street. From cosmopolitan KL to historic Malacca, street food culture thrives. And we're not talking about groups of people gathered at a small booth in the corner. In Jalan (street) Alora in KL, the tables take up half the street, where locals and tourists ručati.Hrana is cheap, tasty and comes in generous servings. Now what? You can go to the aromatic and spicy Malay food, stir-fried goodness Chinese food, a bold and spicy taste of Indian food, even food and Portuguese (in Malacca, which were occupied by the Portuguese). I had met satay, chicken rice, roti cana (best with curry), easier, and what I knew I would miss when I leave, Tarik (cold milk tea ).
