Unlikely Style Icon - Teenage Fashion Blogger - Tavi Gevinson



Tavi Gevinson, otherwise known as "the Style Rookie," made the cover of fashion bible Pop MAG in August and Love in September, where he also was interviewed by Pixie Geldolf.

Her fashion blog attracts half a million hits a month, and she takes so seriously the industry that has earned the first row of seats on all the major shows during New York Fashion Week, where editors and celebrities can be seen with respect, looking over his shoulder.

Given the fascination of this unique and eye-catching fashion writer, it is quite surprising to discover that Tavi is a 13-year-old blogger from suburban Chicago.

"Style Rookie" blog was created in 2008 when the pan is only 11, and her writing illustrates this understanding of her favorite subject, which was initially supposed to be a fake created by fashion from the inside. This is a professional feel and analysis capabilities of magazines and photos of their quirky daily wear.

Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the sisters behind the award-winning fashion label Rodarte, contacted after Tavi come over to her blog just eight months after he started, and it became their muse, helping to showcase their lines.

Indeed, Tavi Gevinson seems pretty appearance.

Her first experience of paid journalism was for Pop's website, giving her thoughts on New York Fashion Week. "For one week I was in a utopia full of people who recognize that my jacket is Luella and appreciate that I was stuck upside-down doll in the chest pocket," she wrote.
